i need to connect a 10 gallon refugium to a 10 gallon sump. the main tank is connected to the refugium by a 3/4 inch pvc overflow and the sump has the return pump to the main tank using a 600gph pump with 3/4 inch pvc and tubes. so connecting the refugium to the sump should i use 3/4 tubing or 1 inch tubing?

Use 1" it will allow a better flow to the sump.

I always go bigger on the overflow, you can always come back and put a restriction in it if it makes too much noise.

1" for sure. Just curious, how do you plan to connect the two tanks.
