In order to use an old 20 gal aquarium for sump had to take stand apart I've got good access to all areas. I would like a few opinions on this please.

A 20 gallon tank used as a sump is very common. If you want more opinions you will need to let us know how you are going to put the sump together and you systems specs.

A 20g sump will work great for tanks up to around 100g or so. That is if you have the sump in the tank's stand.

    Welcome to 3reef Trebor!

Yeah, a 20g tank works fine for a sump, as long as it's got enough volume to hold the equipment you want in it and hold the "dead" water volume when the return pump gets turned off / fails.

My opinion? Typing in complete sentences results in better on-line communication. Let us know what else you want opinions on, or you're likely to gewt a bunch of silly nonsense, or at least less answers/responses than you really should get.
