10 gal refugium. You need to put your width of the tank and how high you are going to make it in the calculator then keep putting in the last number until it equals 10 gal. Simple algebra

Our calculator system isn't working. I just think I will do half and half of the left over space in the tank, after the Protein/input section. So that means probably @ 12lengthx11.75widthx8height. So I am thinking it will be around 7gallons or so. Not sure.

Anyone have any other comments or suggestions?

The math equation to find gal out of inches is LXWXH divided by 230. I think there is actually a cal on 3reef for sump/fuge design. Not sure though.

If you have a 30 gallon tank I assume it's 36" right? if that's the case for every 12" it will be 10 Gallons but you also have to keep in mine it will not be all the way up to the top...(water that is;D) oh, and you need to comp, for the sand bed too...But I assume you already made this thing.

    How did it come out?

I don't know if master is the word I'd use. We don't want to give him a complex! ;D

he has done a good job with the two he's built though...

Just really learning from mistakes is how I done it. KOgle has seen all the extra plumbing and fitting I have at the house....where do you think they all came from....8)
