sump return question!!

I would hope you do some research on your return rate, Less then 10x is inadequate. Im not sure you know of Bob Fenner or Anthony Calfo, but they reccomend minimum of 10x per hour in most reef apps. You can read more on wetwebmedia. My reef has had approx 19x turnover for 2 years now and I couldnt be more happy with it. I have great circulation, wich leads to less dead spots and far less waste build up. I dont wanna take anything away from 3reef, but the more you read, the easier it can be.

 

19x plus per hr through a sump ? what size tank ,drains , pumps and sump do you have ?? I have to ask

 

OK then you are good to go an easy drill. Just not the bottom pane its tempered and that can never be drilled. All you need is the bit and some cooking or 3&1 oil to lube and keep bit cool while drilling the holes !
