i have a 3/4 bulkhead in my drain chamber I use it for a return for a skimmer.

It pulls from the bulkhead and dumps into a sock. I am currently using a reeflo blowhole pump.

I want to set up a another loop with my media reactor and my UV filter, I want to use a second reeflo blowhole to power the second loop. I do not want to drill for a second bulk head.

I want to install a Y fitting off the supply and have both pumps pull through the Y fitting.

Will this decrease flow to much or will it just pull what it needs, neither pump need full power so I dont think it will be an issue.

    Any input would be great

FYI.. I am draining the skimmer into a sock and the UV loop will dump into my sponge before the return for the DT.

    Thanks[IMG]

I don't think a 3/4" O/F could keep up if you plan on having both pumps return the water to the DT. If you run the "Y", I think you'd be better off returning one of the effluents to the "pump bay" of the sump and let your "main" pump return the water to the DT.

However, this would be my first choice:

You could simply drop a pump into the "supply" end of the sump, run it thru your reactor and return the water to the "pump bay" of the sump...again, to have the "main" pump return it to the tank. You can probably get away with using a smaller pump for the reactor feed as well.

Both pumps will return to the sump.

I have a main pump to pump to the DT.

Any idea where to get a schedule 80 Y ?
