I need HELP Im putting together a 125 my corals are sitting in a tote waiting to get into this tankwith a sump I need to know how many gals my sump needs to be I only have 15 inches in width. I bought a 36 gal tote but cant fit it I can fit a 24 gal of corse these totes cant hold the full amount of gal. because you need to save room for the water to come back down incase of an outage

what type of tote did you get....if it is just a plain old rubbermade tote, it will not work. The totes will begin to bow out over time and break/leak along with leaching out things into your water.

You need to have industrial style totes, ie rubbermade horse trough in order to do that.

I kept my rocks after my tank broke in a plain rubbermade tote, and in a matter of 2 months the tote was completely bowed out and ruined.

    I have a 65g sump under my 125g, FYI

a 55 gallon baffled tank would be ideal if you could fit it under your stand.
