sump size for a 75g

    Mag Drives are great pumps, from what I've heard. I will be getting one myself. For your tank, I recommend the MD 9.5

    Personally I would go with a DIY sump. It is cheaper & custom, to your likings.

    I would also get filter sock for you over flow line, going into your sump.

    That's all you would really need for a sump, assuming you have a skimmer. If you want you could get some Loc Line to add to that return piece. This will gove you more options on where the flow will go.

    Doesn't height effect the amount of water going up? Not a fan of DIY
    atm, idk how the water will go down into the sump, do I just buy more tubing?

    Then buying a sump would alright.

    The same vinyl tubing you linked to(for your retun?) I would use for you OF line(down to sump).

    My mistake. Yes as head height increases, water volume output decreases. How much head height will you have from the bottom of the sump to the lip of the tank?

    A 1" bulkhead, I believe uses 3/4" tubing. The return pump(MD12) also has 3/4" outlet.
