When I finish my my 10 gallon sump build and ready to start it up on my tank, I would assume this to be the proper procedure...

-fill sump with salt water from LFS.
-start syphon and pump as close to the same time as possible.

Is it any more complicated than that? I was planning on letting it run for a few weeks along with my emperor 330. Is that a good idea? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure about the siphon/pump issue, but you will want to run your old filtration with your new for a few weeks until everything gets established.
