sump vs fuge whats the diff

I've never had a sump or fuge what's. The difference

 

Sump is a place to hide equipment such as skimmer heater uv steralizer and gives you more water volume. A fuge is a place to grow algae to suck up nitrates.

 

Return pump also is in the sump.

 

Alot of guys build their fuge into their sump, I opted to use a different tank for a fuge, which I have yet to build.

 

My stand doesn't. Leave me any room for a sump I could possibly do a hang on fuge

 

Yeah, lots of guys do hang on also. I havent even started my fuge yet so im by no means an expert. I have only read alot about them and have a pretty clear understanding how they work.

 

HOB fuges are great if you don't have any other option. Look up the refugium section on here for some ideas.
