Wait a minute here, I never said UVL are junk I said everything I HEARD about them was junk. I use Gieseman and always have, the reason I use Giesemans is before I set up my T5s I did research just as you all are, and luckily I have a guy in my club that does PAR tests on different ballasts, bulbs, reflectors and so on. He actually gets the stuff free from companies and tests it for them to help them make it better. He told me to use Gieseman, as did many of the reps from light manufactorers. Even those that carried UVL and Gieseman steered me towards the Gieseman. UVL on their own bulbs claims 4500 usable hours of light per bulb, Giesemans is like double to triple that.
I can also tell you that the reflectors are going to be EQUALLY important in lighting here, so if you are planning on buying a "cheap" fixture but then buying $30 a piece bulbs thats kind of counterproductive.
I'm not going to bash UVL as I have no personal experienece w/ them, just from what I've heard from people that make a living making or testing lights. At the end of the day you need to buy what you are comfortable w/ but if I were to recommend bulbs I would say G-Man and ATI.
If you are looking for a "blue" mirandocolic, I would recommend a blend of Aquablue+ and Actinic+, both put out great PAR and are great bulbs, the only thing is in what ratio you want them it, but THAT is up to you.

    Good luck guys

I will see if my camera will allow me to get a "good" pic of my tank so you can see my spectrum and you can tell if you want it "bluer" or "whiter" and I could let you know which combo I have and how you can tweek it.

    Good luck

Cool I still have not ordered anything as of yet. Still unclear but think that im going to go with the 420 just due to the fact that it is a more blue tint.

When I have my dawn/dusk lights on its two actinic+ and two aquablue+ and it is pretty blue, not that PC blue w/ actinics but a nice blue. I'll try to get a pic and let you see it.
