Hello, i bought my little guy about 5 days ago, he was in the lfs for about 1 month, they were feeding him bloodworms. When i brought him home he hid in a cave now hes swimming more but doent seem to want to eat, he spit out flakes and when i put in brine shrimp and blood worms he kinda hid. I have some scooter dragonets and they seem happy eating all the microfauna, will the sunburst do the same? i have heard that they have kinda the same diet has the dragonets thanks!

I give my anthias live pinhead crickets that i feed with spirulina and other fish foods.....for the less fanatic try some mysis, ocean plankton, or brine.....they require advanced attention if not already aquarium conditioned......usually.

They eat macro plankton in the wild....blood worms are a very poor substitue....no nutrion especially if they are alive. The live ones arent fed at the stores or the distributors....by the time you get them they are barley living. Frozen are a bit better but still have are far from planktonic. Iwould shoot for some frozen ocean plankton or mysis....power fed pinhead crickets yield the best results IME.

You can order them offline.....they are tiny...only a few mm long and look very similar to copepods and other li "bugs" they would naturally eat. If you really want to look into it by doing a google search for live crickets...there are a few companies that do weekly small shipments for one price so you dont have to buy 500 at a time.....if thats a bit much i would go for some frozen ocean plankton.
