Sunlight Supply Tek vs, Nova Extreme Pro T5

I have seen some beautiful reef tanks with a NOVA extreme over it, but the TEK is going to give you better performance, short term and long term. Yes, the NOVA comes with bulbs but these bulbs do not compare to after market bulbs like Giesemann or ATI.

I guess what it comes down to is what kind of coral you want to keep and how much growing coral means to you. To me, healthy coral MAKES a reef tank, and I would not skimp on lighting. If there's one thing I hate, it's buying the cheaper product and being disappointed in it.

 

You can place a good computer fan near the lable end of the bulbs and have is blow just beneath them to cool. Place another couple of vents in the canopy to get air flow through the canopy.
