Just wanted to know if anyone knew what bulb in color is pretty close to the sunpaq 150 Watt 14,000K bulbs.. I like the color in those bulbs but just wanted to get a bulb with a higher PAR rating.. And better quality.. My choices are XM, Hamilton, Reeflux, Phoenix, Ushio, SPS.. If i cant find one I just might end up getting replacement Sunpaq 14Ks. Need some help guys. Anyone have any pictures of these bulbs in a Sunpod (that would help)

The 14000K Phoenix is a much nicer looking bulb with better par than the current 150 watt bulb. Their 14000K is similar to a 20,000K bulb.

Generally speaking the higher the par the whiter the light. Unless you have an SPS dominated tank I would go with a 14k bulb. XM and Ushio are both top quality bulbs I have used almost every kind at one time or another and I like XM a little better. I did buy a reeflux 12K bulb one time that looked really good with decent par but that bulb rapidly declined in about 4 months use.

The Phoenix 14000K bulb is as blue as the 20000K XM bulb but a little bit brighter. I have used both.
