A sunpod is a great light, I have one on my biocube 29 and this light is strong. You should be able to grow anything with a 250w. I'd say go for it.

Thanks.....I bought it. I am gonna pick it up in a few days.
It will be a nice upgrade from my 2-250w MH system now.
I am going to supplement it too with a couple T5's

I have a 2x250w Sunpod and although I don't have it on the tank now (switched to LEDs) it was a great light for the money...especially if you can get one cheap. The LEDs are meant for moonlighting only but they do a good job for what they were meant to do. Depending on what bulbs you run you will probably have to run some supplementaion. They do really bring out the flouresence in you corals. If you have bracing under the LEDs it will cast a shadow. The ballasts they come with (magnetic HQI) work well and the fans aren't too loud either. The Current 14k bulbs are ok but you would be well served getting the Phoenix 14ks when it comes time to replace 'em. Plus you may not have to use any supplements with the Phoenix. The spread from the reflectors is a little limited because the opening is slightly smaller than the size of the reflectors but if you raise them up a little higher it improves. All in all a pretty good light.

    Congrats!
