    Tubastrea. Aka sun coral.
Non photosynthetic coral that requires feedings a few times a week. Not the easiesr coral to care for but very beautiful.

Easy to care for with regular feedings. Consider it another fish.

I dont think I would call it easy, you have to spot feed each head, which isnt really hard but making the time to do that all the time can be tough sometimes. Imo.

I actually didn't think you needed to feed each head. Just feed the colony as a whole. I had a single head "sprout" some new heads and the new heads barely get any food at all, yet are growing.

You should get food onto every head for feeding. Ive had a few colonys before and they always did better when I sprayed food into every head rather than just the larger ones. The problem that makes them a little more difficult is training them when to open to accept the food. No one likes waking up at 3am to feed there sun coral because thats the only time there open.

Can't you use a soda bottle (2 liter) cut in half and put it over the coral, then put the food in the bottle so the fish cant get to it and it wont get blown away by the flow?

Before I went on vacation, they came out every night at 6PM like clockwork. Since my tank sitter didn't see it open and couldn't feed it, it is now off schedule. I have found using Oyster Feast will get it to open up. So I use that a couple of times a week before feeding and it seems to be getting back on schedule :)

And good to know on feeding all heads. They are still pretty small, but I will do my best!
