Just saying hello to all! and thanking everyone for all the useful info and in advance for all the feedback.

So I finally started plumbing my 75 gallon with a sump. This is my first tank build and wouldn't mind any criticism.

    what I have so far:
75 gallon tank (overflow and drilled in the back)
    sump
    protein skimmer
    mag drive 12
    tek t-5, 6 bulb
curing about 120lbs of live rock for 3 months

I'm about to take it outside and test my plumbing for leaks, so before I glue everything I'd sure appreciate you guys opinions

so one thing I've learned from reading posts is you all like pics so....

    Welcome to 3 reef SaltLifeChris

set up looks to be coming on well
only constructive comment I would like to make at this point
is the return locline type set up you have, can become problematic over time
and will require attention. coraline as your probably know favours plastics
and when I used a similar type of return system, I found I was poking the holes clear every so often with toothpicks to clear out the coraline that was encrusting over them

I also thought about the lockline getting plugged by coralline or whatever the return pump sucks in. But it all looks good IMO. Are you going bare bottom?
