I searched a few old threads, one from 2009. I think it might be the same but wasn't sure.

Tanks 29g 35 days old, 2 chromis snails blue legged herms 27 lbs live rock 3" sand bed anyway my lights had just switched off leaving just the blue led moonlights. Love watching the tank in sleep mode. Anyway 1/2 hour after lights out I see a squiggly tiny white worm absolutely flying around the tank up down all over fast!! Thing is like 3/16" long and turbocharged! No chance of a pic. Switched the lights on to get better look, woke up my two green chromis. They immediately attacked, and eventually one ate it. So I said thanks to my buddy, turned the lights back off to enjoy sleep mode, ... 2 mins later there is another.

Bristol worm ejected to lay sperm or something like that? Read a few different things, really just hoping its not bad. Hoping to return the chromis Sunday and pick up a juvi pair of clownfish, and I'll hold off if this is a bad invasion. Please help!

swarming Phylodocid. Read this on the hitchhikers guide I found while searching some older threads. Sounds right. I'd look at the worms page but it was making me want to throw up and also I didn't want to have nightmares. Damn there is some nasty stuff out there in SW!

Were they white? I've also had something similar to your description but I haven't found out what it was.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Please google Epitoke.

Harmless, just means you are probably feeding too much.

Its funny, as I just took a quick video the other night of a few of these guys swimming in my 46BF. The tank has been fallow for a few weeks, so they were actually out when the lights were still on which I have never seen before. They are about 1cm long, white, and pretty quick!
