Super loud

just set up my 75 to test for leaks and run some vinegar through it. Anyways hooked up my overflow(1100gph) and it is super loud! 1" pvc 2 90degree bends. Sounds like a waterfall! My return pump is a sicce 3.0 wich i believe is 750gph at 9ft or something. How can i quit this thing down?

I am pretty sure it's 714gph. If these are new pipes it will take a few days for a slime coat to develop inside the pipes which should make the noise go away. If it doesn't quiet down you could try using 45's instead of the 90's but it is common for the new pipes to gurgle and make noise when new.

 

+1. I had same issue when it was setup, noise will go away after couple of weeks.

 

just give it some time like everyone said, the slime coat will quiet things down
