Well, you cant see the "nets" and "strings" in this video. I don't mind the particulates in the water, I'm just afraid the worms/particulates may be stressing the coral.

From what I've read and heard about them I don't think that's the case, but then again, there's always that one off story.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Population numbers are based on available food source. Cut back on feedings or feed foods that have less suspended fine particulate matter. Try quality pellets, and with said as the tank ages those listed typically die back unless you continue to feed a lot.

I've been feeding brine shrimp mostly as that's the only thing my cardinal will touch. I occasionally feed Omega One pellets.

Do you think the particulates are a problem for the corals?

Hope not. I see them cast a net over a few of my corals.

When you feed the brine they are most likely catching large pieces and you can usually see that if you watch.

Brine is not a quality food you're better off doing mysid or cyclops but you run into the same issues.

Yeah, they attempt to catch them. I haven't fed in 24 hours and they are currently out and attempting to catch the fine particles in the water column, whatever those are.

U soak the brine in selcon. I couldn't get him to eat the jumbo mysis that I had, so I traded it in for brine.

Have you tried omega one flakes with Garlic? Just out of curiosity because this is the ONLY thing my pair of dispar anthias will eat. They will chase the mysis around but will never take it. They tear up some flake food though.
