Either way, I am thrilled with this skimmer.

It is very quiet and pulls out a lot of skimmate. The design of the skimmer makes it very easy to control variables such as air and water. The way the cup attaches to the skimmer body makes the cup easy to remove and put back on to the skimmer body. Yet it still holds the collection cup firmly in place.

I would recommend this skimmer to anyone looking for an affordable, well performing, and well built skimmer.

Skimmer has been constantly pulling gunk out of the water. I love this skimmer

Yeah I'm extremely impresseed with mine and after the first week adjusting it is very easy now. Was a little tempermental for the first few days during breakin, but rock steady now...

Great Skimmers, very well built and performers!

Couple of Q's... I'm going to get this skimmer and am in the planning stages of my sump build.

First, How's that bad boy doing now? Pics of Skimmate please!! ;D

Second, What's the exact footprint? I know it says 9 X 7 on the website but sometimes they are actually smaller at the base because they count the exit tube thingy (Forgot what it's called) as part of the footprint.

    Thanks in advance :)

Oh, and by the way, Nice write up!! :thumbs_up:thumbs_up K+

I am loving this guy. I am at work right now, but will take a photo of the skimmate when I get home. it is constantly pulling dark skimmate out.

I would say the footprint is about 7x7 w/out the output tube. I can get you a better measurement when i get home as well.

7x9 includes the outlet tube so yes the base is a bit smaller. Still performing like a champ!

how much water do you have it in? The bubbles look low to me, and your skimmer may just be breaking in still. (in case it helps, mine broke in after 24 hrs)
