    That is very old. About 4-5 weeks old. The issue was something else and is working great.

    about 3 days worth of skimmate...it stunk...

    Yeah bubbles are about 1" lower than on mine but if it just breaking in give it another day or so. Mines in 7.5 - 8.5 Inches of water and happy there so you could try that, I find with the shallower depth its really easy to adjust bubble height, and then you can choose wetter or drier skimate based on what your after.
