SWC Xtreme 120

Anyone have an opinion on this thing?

I'm all about getting an affordable cone skimmer for the new 35-40 gallon setup I have in the works and this one is at the top of my list next to the Bubble Magus NAC7. It looks like a great little skimmer with a super small footprint, but i'm not sure about being one of the first ones to actually try the SWC 120 out as it wont be available for another week or so.

Ya, nobody has any yet. I know a review will be coming soon. I don't doubt it will perform well, the only unknown is how the pump sounds. About time some better sump skimmers came out for smaller tanks.

 

Its killing me I cant find any more details on this thing. I'm having a custom sump built and need to get the skimmer picked out to ensure it fits perfectly. I would love to know what kind of pump there using on them.

I'm running the SWC Xtreme 160 right now:

I, like everyone else, haven't got to see one of the new 120 cones, but I can tell you their quality is like no skimmer I've seen so far.

 

I was looking at getting the SWC Xtreme 160 for a 90g reef set up. Are you happy with it? What size system are you running on it? Seems like a nice skimmer for the price.

 

It does an awesome job. I'm running it on a 60 gallon total system.
