    i dont understand why these and acans are so expensive and labeled as (rare) when my local salty shop must have at least 300 diff pieces of the corals, anywere from 100$-500$ , he has an entire 250 gal filled with these type of rare corals, dont sound so rare, pretty yes but rare?

    They are rare because they are hard to come by. When they are available, you can get tons of them, but then shut down the collections, and they become rare again. Its just the nature of the business. Fed Fish and Wildlife can shut any country down on importing at anytime, so can CITES. Typically, the more expensive something is, the harder it is to come by. Basic rules of supply and demand, short supply=high demand, high supply=little demand.

    i do get it. but when your LFS has them all the time they just dont seem worth 200$ even 500$!!! now if he had one, it be different.

    speaking of that thou, i read in some article that euphyllia collection were getting close to being shut down.
