Swimming Bristle worm?

    ok so im freaked out...i dont have a picture of this but yesterday i saw some thing work-like and mabie 2 to 3 inches long free swimming FAST the in water...It saw around the tank bumping into stuff then eventually went into the rock work...do bristle worms swim? I really dont understand how ive never seen this thing its not small...has anyone seen a bristle work swim quite fast through the water????? It looked white or light tan in color any ideas? sry no pic

    I haven't ever heard of a BW swimming. However, it could have gotten blown off of a rock by the current and carried by it until it found a rock again. Otherwise, I haven't the foggiest.

    Bristleworms do swim when threatened.
