swine flu

It's cause the death of MJ has suddenly become a hotter topic! Don't know why though honestly.

 

Its because there are currently very few cases in North America. The media is not going to cover something globally here unless it can be construed into us harming the world.

 

Well its finally reached my family! My brother it sick with swine flue. bad throat, fever, his neck muscles are very painfull bad cough and feels like S**t! all he is doing is sleeping! He is sooooo stubborn thou as he will not contact his doctor ( he feels that he is young & fit with no breathing probs). He got it from a girl in his village who has it. our doctors are now diagnosing over the phone & giving voucher numbers for family to collect sick people medication.
Our kids school has also sent out a warning letter that if any off our children or us have any off the simptoms that we have to stay at home & tell the school asap
Any how my brother will not be coming anywhere near me so but ive been in phone contact to make shore he is ok................

Has he been officially diagnosed? That's bananas; it always seemed really distant. I hope he's okay.

 

The uk is no longer doing swabs as its gone past the containment stage & they have moved into the treatment stage saying its no longer undercontrol. This means that there is to many swabs to test as soooo many people have it here so they are now just diagnosing over the phone! my local doctors who my brother is under have put a message on there phone telling all people who think they have swine flue not to come to the surgery and not to go to any hospitals & to call a different number as they cant cope with the amount off people who have it or think they have it. They now just do it all on the phone tell you not to leave your house & get a family member or a flu buddy to collect your anti viral! I think the uk has been hit hard & the health officials said that they exspect that by the end off august the numbers will be 100,000 a week contracting the flu!

But i must admit im amazed that they are diagnosing over the phone!

Ive spoken to him today & he feels ruff.... his girlfriend is really worried & said hes putting on a brave face to us so we dont worry. But i do think he will be fine like i said before your ok if you dont have breathing problems & hes fit & very healthy.........

Oh yeh & the other girl in the village did do a swab her dad took it to ipswich hospital & it was positive but like i said they are no longer doing the swabs.

I really hated all the hype on the swine flu caused by the media. "Someone died here, someone died there, etc" Little do they know that people die almost every minute statistically. If swine flu got considered a pandemic, what the heck do we call heart disease, lung cancer, and all of that other good stuff? Armageddon?? Geez gimme a break.

Mostly the extent of my knowledge of swine flu across the pond from the U.S. is Rupert Grint has it

 

Like i said before YOUR ok if you dont have bad breathing problems! & if me & my daughter didnt then i would not batter a eyelid...........

Anyway there are now 3 schools in ipswich that have it, one has shut as its a special needs school so the kids are at high risk but the other one has stayed open & is punishing all parents who do not send there children into school!
I spoke to my doctor today as not only do my brother have it but a girl 2 doors down from me went to the special school thats been shut down & one off the teachers at the school has called me today to warn me that she has been incontact with the virus & that she has to weight & see if she has any sign off it over the next 7 days she has been in contact with us as she is having one off our labradors puppys! So no matter how hard i try & protect me & my daughter its just not working........The doctor i spoke to today said that i should not go out unless i really have to, do not have any contact with anyone who may have it, but exspained that its spread so much that i could catch it just by going to the shops. He said because of this if i notice any marked changes in my astmas or my daughters then i must call them straight away to get treated he also told me to get a good temp checker & test us all regually so if any of us spike a temp we must get treated straight away.
I just wish people would realise taht its bad news form people with bad breathing conditions and that we i worry because ive been there with flu before & nearly died..........its the worsed thing ive ever had got. before all this swine flu come about i avoided people who had the commen cold as id end up in hospital!
Its just horrible waiting for something you no your going to catch & that there is a very good chance it would kill you or your child

 

Yay a little ray of light..........in suffolk where i live they have been granted enough vaccine to protect everyone. The will have the 1st lot read by the end off august & this is going to the following... people with lung problems, heart or neurological problems , the under 5 & people who have recived astmas treatment in the last 3 years. So if we can just keep it at bay till then........;D

 

I just started feeling sick today too. If it is H1N1, I hope I have one of those natural immunities so I don't become part of the undead army. I have way too many guns to become a zombie before the apocalypse even starts. It would be such a waste.
