    Hey everyone,

Today my new uvl bulbs came in, all in one piece!!;) The color is kinda purple to my eyes, less blue than the bulbs before, but thats ok!! My lemnalia shriveled up and is looking a grey color...and my GSP look like they are extending their polyps upward:(. This never happened with my old bulbs!! Plus i've heard so many good things about uvl bulbs. I hope things don't stay like this!! Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I have 4 bulbs total (as seen in my sig) 2x actinic whites and 2x super actinics...

this is what my lemnalia looks like..

The bulbs take about 48 hours to fully break in, what were your old bulbs?

You may have shocked your corals with the new bulbs and intensity that comes with them. If you currently have "any" nitrate/phosphate /algae issues, reduce your photoperiod dramatically and acclimate slowly. And/or keep a close eye on nuisance algae that may follow...
