Switching from crushed coral to sand.. (update)

Hear are some pics I promised.. I know a few days late.. Me and my husband have been busy cleaning our place up.. Now that midterms are over our place was a big mess...lol..We only have one more section to do and we will be all done with the switch!! We are still working on that algae problem.. I think its starting to die off.. We keep seeing chunks of it float around and we poll them out of the tank.. The algae is also starting to change color.. I cant wait tell its gone.. Then we can add more pretty stuff.. Once we finish our sand change we are going to be getting a nice clean up crew.. a few died during the switch.. No fish just 3 crabs...

 

Hey everyone!! I am happy to say that we are now finished with the switch!!! It looks sooooo good now.. Why didnt I do this from the beginning?? Now we just need to focus more on the GHA.. Thanks for everyones help!!

 

Looks good. I'm slowly sifting out the bigger pieces of my sand. I wish I would have just got some fine oolite to begin with.
