I currently have the Sunlight Supply 2x250watt MH and 2x54w T5 fixture and am thinking about switching to an all T5 setup. I have a couple questions.

Who makes the best fixture? I see the Sunlight Supply and the NOVA seem to get good reviews.

    Would I need the 6 or 8 bulb fixture? I currently have a 120g (4x2x2) tank.

I WILL be placing ATI blubs in this fixture, and I would only get it if I would be able to keep anything I wanted. I can do this now with my MH setup and wouldnt want to downgrade.

tek i think is labeled one of the best.

i know its one of the most expensive..

6 or 8 bulb fixture i think runs about 1200$

i would get 8 bulb, just to be safe and you can get a ton of different color bulbs..

ive always ran halides, but its cool you can run alot of different blues and purples with t5s

ati is the same thing as tek basicly but a third of the price your paying for the brand just like tv's you see sonys and there like 1200 than you go see a same size tv maybe a little different specs but its the same product for a atleast 500 less, nova has a bad rep but im buying one of these fixtures it was somthing about the warranty but i cant see any problems with them

6 bulb nova extreme replace stock bulbs with giesman aquablues or midday bulbs

ATI is the best, but the Tek Elite comes in a close second. You will want 6 bulbs minimum to get decent coverage of the rocks. If you are keeping light needy animals on the sand then 8 bulbs is the way to go.

OK, well right now the fixture im looking at right now is this one:
Sunlight Supply Tek Light High Output Fluorescent Lighting Fixtures

I will have clams on the sand as well as other corals once I purchase so I think I will be going with the 8 bulb.

That will take good care of you and your coral and clams.

I suggest getting 4 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Aquablue Special and 2 ATI Purple Plus
The order I would put them in from front to back is
    Blue Plus
    Purple Plus
    Aquablue Special
    Blue Plus
    Aquablue Special
    Blue Plus
    Purple Plus
    Blue Plus

^ I agree, it has two separate plugs and the blue+ are what I use now for dawn and dusk and putting them in that location will do the same
