Hey guys, If I start with a 30 gallon reef tank and then I want to upgrade can I move the contents of the 30 gallon to a bigger tanks and keep building off of it?
Would it be bad for the corals and fish(like cause stress)?
    Is it worth it?

You can do that IMO.....it depends on how quickly you upgrade from tank to tank as far as stress for livestock. People start out small and upgrade a lot.....it seems that if you know you'll want to go bigger before you start, why not go as big as you can at the start?

I just switched my 65 over to a 75. heres what i did. Drain all the water into buckets, place rock, fish and coral in buckets with water. In my case I wanted the new tank in the same location, so once the tank was empty, i slid the tank out of the way and put the new tank in place. set up all the plumbing, scooped sand from the old tank and into the new tank, then I did the hardscape with the live rock. Then I filled it back up with water. Placed the corals where I wanted it, put the fish in, and plugged everything in. I took awhile but everything went really smooth. I checked during the following days and had NO ammonia spike.

Numerous times over the years I've moved or upgraded tanks that very same way and I've never had any problems.
