    I and many I know have kept several tangs in a 55 for yrs not a problem , If you want one just get a small one .. tangs are tall and skinny :)
    Last 55 I ran I had 3 in it and a couple or other fish a bi color angle and a flam hawk and dragon goby .ran it from mid 80's until mid 90's
    If I wanted it and then I'dadd it in a N.Y second tang police are funny people LOL But you have to have filtration and areation thats the trick with all tangs in any tank this is why so many kill tangs i big tanks even.

    Do you mean at a public aquarium or in somebody's tank?

    I've been there! Those fish have a bit more room to grow than they would in our tanks :lol:

    i wouldn't underestimate their growing power. its not a tang, but i have personally seen a pleco get 10 inches in a 10 gallon aquarium.

    edit: also how tall would you grow locked in your room? given a proper diet.
    the answer is around the same size.
