If we're not having a flash flood, we are having a levee break, having a tornado, having baseball-sized hail, and last night....earthquake. I don't know was us Missourians did to Mother Nature, but she's apparently quite ticked.

There was no damage whatsoever. Tyson felt it too. Boston Terrier's have bug eyes to begin with. He woke up with CONCERNED BUG EYES and looked at me. I wasn't freaking out so he just went back to sleep.

Mother Nature must have decided Missouri was due.

    LOL

We've also had snowstorms and ice storms that closed us down. We NEVER close down like that. The only other time I remember this was The Great Blizzard of 1982. (We actually had to climb a ladder and shovel our roof then).

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks like when he said May 21, he actually meant the first week of June.

Boy I hope it turns around for you guys. With increased precipitation you unfortunately are going to get more bugs and things that eat bugs and rodents. Heaven for a tom-boy like me, but unwelcome by most I am sure.

Looks like your area is set up for a strange weather patterns through the beginnings of summer.

    LOL

It really has been weird. I actually like all the animals. When the Missouri river stayed frozen for so long in January, I would hear all of the coyotes and wolves close to populated areas. The cicadas aren't bothering me but in other parts of the city, it's deafening. The only animal I don't like is the common mosquito. They don't call it St. Louis Encephalitis Virus for no reason. I hope this heat wave breaks soon. I think I'm going to die and the electricty bill is going to be through the roof. In fact, the heat ALMOST killed Tyson a couple weeks back. At the end of a long walk, we ran into a puppy shih tzu and Tyson was playing with it. (Normally, we would have just gone inside and he would have drank his water and then lay by the air conditioning vent). He went into a heat-induced siezure. I told all the kids that he would be fine once I cooled him off but he was really rarely breathing. (I didn't want them to be traumatized for the rest of their lives). He was foaming like a can of shaving cream so when he did breathe, all he was doing was aspirating this foam instead of getting air. Melissa was smart. I could only see him from the top. She could see him from the front and his eyes were fixed and glazed over. I got him inside and cooled him off with wet rags and kept his mouth clear of foam. 30 minutes later, he was ready to play. LOL

Look like it was a 3.9 magnitude about 51 miles from St. Louis.

Sorry to hear about all the stuggles. My sister's husband's family is all in MO, and I'm sure they're struggling with alot of it as well.

Hang in there... people keep telling me that California is overdue...:-/

LOL your terrier looking at you with "concerned bug eyes". My weiner dog has the same look whenever it starts to thunder, except she just hides under my bed haha. I can't believe all this weather yall are having thought! Crazy. Hurricane season is coming along, I'm hoping the bad weather stays away!

My wiener dogs are almost fearless. When there was an earthquake in the middle of the night like a year ago my dog peed in the bed. Funny thing (kinda) is I was sleeping in it and didn't notice until the morning.
