what is the best light cycle for a reef tank?? currently have it to the stock cycle that came from the factory. currently waiting on tank to cycle fully.. i have 2 snails, 2 shrimp, 3 hermit crabs, and just put 2 damsels in last night. will add more fish and coral later.. it is a 36 gallon bow front.

    thanks!

No need for lighting until you have corals. Just turn on the light whenever you want to look at the critters.

Once you get coral dawn/dusk, blue lighting, is used for 10 to 12 hours and daylight, white lighting, is used for 8 to 10 hours. Just turn the dawn/dusk lighting on 1 hour before the daylight goes on and off 1 hour after the daylight goes out.
