    get a FTS up please bernokarl so we can see the tank lit
    and then another 1 with just the moonlights

    better still start a fish tank build thread in the show off your fish tank section

    T5 aquarium ballasts are overdriven, where T8's are not. T8 bulbs can be overdriven between 2-4 times to get more light out of each bulb. I ran 2x overdriven T8's for a while. Bulb selection is a problem, there are far more choices for T5's. IMO, without good individual reflectors, it's a waste of time. That alone makes a huge difference. By the time you put all of the money into extra ballasts and reflectors, you may as well buy a good T5 unit.
