Looks like B+ and actinic+ have the same spectrum?
    At least according to reefgeek:

Maybe you meant swap out the pure actinic?

The actinic plus has about 2/3 the PAR of the blue plus.

The BP produces almost the same effect as the AP.

ohh lots of good info thanks. currently i have 14K MH bulbs in there, but a pair of 10K Ushio should be here today. My plan was to swap the MH out first and then after 2-3 days do 2 of the T5's and then another 2-3 days the other T5's.

My bad, I meant the flourescent properties. I am sure they are a whiter light.

Good plan, you will probably need to cut back the photo period on the MH when you change them out to prevent light shock to your inhabitants.

LOL yeah, I meant the pure actinic G man to be substituted by the ATI B+, but it would work in either case.

The G man actinic + don't look as nice as the ATI B+ IMHO. The G man are more purply while the ATI B+ are pure bright blue with not much if any visible purple color. The gman bulb does not have as much PAR as the ATI B+, as well. The G man also costs more than the ATI.

As long as it looks good, then that is what matters because that xm250w 10000k with electronic ballasts makes over 500 PAR according to reading our club has done, and other people's results like Sanjay.

So thought i ordered Ushio MH bulbs, but when i went to pick them up at the store they had Elos bulbs waiting for me. The LFS guy said they are way better than Ushio, so i brought them home. I can take them back and get some ushio if needed. Anyone have any experience with the Elos bulbs? I know in general they have good products. Should i take them back and get Ushio?

also picked up 2 ATI Blue+ on this threads recommendation and since the MH were not what i expected I put in these 2 bulbs they look pretty awesome
