I want to upgrade my lights to T5 HO lights. And I can buy them from electrical supplier for very cheap price with light bulbs.

    My question is:
Can it be placed on glass cover
Do i need to buy a special light bulbs for aqarium

It can go on a glass cover, but you do need special bulbs. I don't know if an electrical supplier would have the correct bulbs for anything other than pure growth (GE 6500k). The tank would look gross under just those.

The bulbs most likely will be 5100K. You will not need a glass cover if you have the bulbs 4 inches or higher above the water.

What do you mean by a Breeder.

    30 INCHES WIDE
    18 INCES DEEP
    21 INCHES TALL

You won't need a glass cover at all, even 1" off the water. You really want the bulbs as close to the water as you can without getting splashes on the reflectors.

But as stated, any non aquarium / plant bulb won't likely be suitable for a tank.

A GE 6500k bulb will work, but it makes an awful light color.

    You don't have a 40 breeder. A 40 breeder is 3 feet long.

    A breeder is 36 x 18 x 16 tall.

A 4 x 24" or 6 x 24" will work fine. Go with the 6 x 24" if you are looking to have any and every thing possible.

A good bulb recommendation is 3 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Aquablue Special. UVL Actinic White and 1 GE 6500K. The GE will make your yellows and greens pop, the UVL will make pink, red and purple pop, the aquablue is a 12000K white light and the Blue Plus is a blue blulb that also has a lot of actinic in it. This is a very strong PAR setup.

So what understand i will need 2 or 3 light fixtures with two bulbs in each one.
    And with special aquarium bulbs.

But I only want soft corals, non of the hard corals.
