I have marineland reef capable led's. THey are great but i also have a t5 setup .... i do not like the color the t5 produces....i love the LED's but there isn't enough blue. what is recommended for the t5? actinic? blue t5's? 50/50? i just want to add more blue so my corals really pop i hate the daylight look everything is so dull

How many bulbs does your fixture hold?

Well with two bulbs, combos are definitely limited. It was a pain when I had a 2 bulb before I went 4. What corals do you currently have?

I would go with 2 blue+ ati bulbs. That will give good color and par. Although I have read and heard that the new ati coral plus is a good bulb too.

You have corals with just the marineland led? Those don't put out barely any par. How are your corals doing?

I would try keep the PAR, so I would stray away from an actinic bulb. If you want a really Blue look, two ATI Blue+ bulbs will do it and it will make corals fluorescent. If you want a bluer look without being full on blue, Purple+ and a Blue+ is nice.

There is also the new ATI bulb Coral+, looks very promising, but I have no used it yet. Others on here have. Could experiment with a Coral+ and a Blue+.

believe it or not with the marineland LEDs colors are pretty good... not wow but pretty good and growth is good too.... i make sure i add trace elements once a week i change the water like once a month...the tank is great! i dont have a lot of fish so there is hardly any waste in my tank.
