From the pics it looks a little tight for the kit reflectors but it is also very hard to tell without the unit in hand. If you can I would stagger the bulbs individually instead of pairs.

Can anyone give me an idea on the combination of bulbs to run. I have done a little researching on the Giesemaan 60"-80 watt bulbs. Right now I run 10,000K, 12,000K, and actinic blue on my biocube. I didn't see a 10,000K for the 60". They do have an Aquablue that says it falls in th 11,000K range. Has anybody had any experience with this?

I use ATI bulbs in the following order front to back.

    Blue Plus
    Aquablue
    Purple Plus
    Blue Plus
    Purple Plus
    True Antic
    Aquablue
    Blue Plus

Gives my tank a nice blue tint, but pops the reds.

    I like!

Thanks for the input on the lights. Building this 125 should be interesting.

The Geisemann 11000K bulb has been known to cause coral to brown out so I would suggest staying with 12000K or greater. Go with the ATI bulbs as they have the best PAR and can usually be found at the best prices.

Have you checked into aquaticlife fixtures? I have SPS, LPS, and zoanthids under the 4 bulb fixture (8 total across the tank). I liked them because they were a full 72" to fit across the tank and it was programmable with control over blue bulbs, white bulbs and moonlights. My corals are doing great too!! here's a pic of it over my tank. they are 8x 36" bulbs. My sides a little darker but not devoid of light though as my frogspawns and hammer corals love it there; perfect flow and perfect light for them. I have ATI bulbs in mine though as the stock bulbs were blah.

I wouldn't put an 8 bulb on this size tank. It is much more shallow than other tanks. you might burn your coral! My birdsnest is up rather high and it lost it's green color for the polyps and my frogspawns have to be near the sides because of the light! I technically have a 4 bulb fixture as 4 bulbs go front to back and I get plenty of light!
