T5 how many hours a day?

    for people with T5 how many hour should I leave it on? I have 12 hours on artinic and 10 hours on 10000k I have so much algae in my tank, I have to clean it every day. Can you list how many hours you leave it on

    I do the same hours and have no problems. How old are your bulbs? Maybe some of your parameters are off by a bit. Cutting back on lighting will prob help reduce algae but if it's the bulbs or paramters......your going to keep on having the same problem.

    What fish,& filtration do you have in your tank, that would help out a lot? And how old are the bulbs?

    10 hours actinic and 8 hours daylight

    12 hours actinics, 10 hours daylight, I run 3 of each T5 HO, my params are good and i only clean algae maybe once a week

    Actinics 11.5 hours and 10k's 7.5 hours.

    I clean the powder from my glass every three days or so. I have no algae problems that my CuC can not take care of.
