So I am sitting in my living room waiting on a big delivery and I hear a humming sound. I look around and I realize it's comming from my light fixture. I unplug it to see if that's really the problem and sure enough it is. I can use the moon lights but hen I turn on te bulbs I hear the humming. Is this a problem? Once I turn them on it takes about 30 sec for the humming to start

Could be a ballast. Is it fan cooled?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Re-seat the bulbs and see if that helps.

My Aquatic Life 6 bulb was just doing the same. I vacuumed out the fans on top and boom it was gone. Oh and how old are your bulbs

It doesn't have a fan and the bulbs were replaced about a month ago.

I have had it turned off for an hour and I turned them back on and so far so good no humming yet

You should be able to replace the ballast if necessary.
