You should have success with that light scheme.
What types of corals, clams etc. do you plan on keeping?
I use 20000k halides with actinics(power compacts) with great success.
Remember that their are many variables that contribute to the overall success of your tank and its inhabitants, so just because your lighting is up to speed doesn't guarantee success unfortunately.
    Best of luck to you!

I use the 6 bulb nova extreme on my 75, I keep clams sps lps and softies all well. My sps growth is very good, clams do fine no color loss.

Bulbs go from front to back.

I'm a white lite 10k sorta guy but that's just me. while the higher k makes the tank look bluer, the 10k bulbs bring out the true colors of the corals. 10k IMO is closer to the actual sun. I like the natural look and I think it's better for growth.

I'm using a 6 bulb tek series over my 58g, back to front I'm acintic, 12k, acintic, 12k, 12k, acintic

Since the center 4 are on 1 switch and the outer 2 on another I did it like that to keep the outsides both acintics
