Im looking to upgrade my lights to T5 HO lighting, but i have a couple of questions on what i should get. I have a 6' tank and all the light fixtures are 4' is this okay if i hang it dead center of the tank?, or should i get two 3' fixtures and hang them side to side? i have my options narrowed down to either a

    (1) 48 inch 8x54W Sunlight Supply Tek Light High Output Fluorescent Lighting Fixture

    or

    (2) Odyssea 36" 156W (4x 39W) T5 HO Light Fixture Advance
    Odyssea T5 High Output Lighting

im not limited to just these but this is what i saw and liked so i would like to hear some suggestions if you have any.
    Thanks
    Brian

I think the tek lights will serve you better than the metal halides. I have a 36" 6-bulb tek light over my 48" tank and I don't have a single dark spot. An 8-bulb 48" should light your 6' just fine.
