T5 or HQI

    you just cant win lol specialty lights say the average bulb life is the same. but your right on the energy and intensity About MH/HPS Lighting we will just blame it on your injury;)

    I would agree with smittycoco. I think the outer orbit would be a great hood. I don't know why everyone make a big deal about heat :-/.....adding a computer fan makes a world of difference. I have 2 friends in Florida that have 400w mh on their tanks and they don't use chillers. Fans make a big difference if your running into heat issues. ;D

    20,000 hours divided by 8hrs a day is 2500 days. Even at 10hrs a day, thats 2000 days. Metal Halide bulbs do not keep their intensity no where near as long. T5HO will hold intensity for 12-18 months, where as MH's are good for 9 months on average depending on how many hours a day they are used.
