T5 suggestion?

    i currently have a double t5 fixture with one "white light" and one Actinic 24w bulb for a 30 gallon if i want to put coral into it should il get another actinic bulb? or would the one do fine?

    It depends what type of coral you want. Softies zoas and some LPS should be fine with your current bulbs provided they aren't more than 6 months old. Although corals use mostly the blue/ purple spectrum, I would not recommend 2 actinics. You want to have at least one full spectrum bulb (10,000K or similar)

    You can definitely pull off softies and LPS with a two bulb. I have a 26 gallon tall tank and my 2 bulb fixture did just fine until I upgraded.

    I would recommend upgrading to some good quality bulbs. Few of them out there, I personally like my ATI bulbs. Good PAR for a fair price.

    With only two bulbs, it is a little harder to be picky about the color spectrum. I would recommend an ATI Coral+ and Blue+ or two Coral+ bulbs.

    These are both good suggestions. Getting the ATI bulbs will allow you to keep SPS also with little to no problems. Just keep the SPS beneath the reflectors.
