Anyone have pictures of their T5 lit tanks?

    What bulbs are you using?

Here is my T-5HO lit tank. This is with 4x54W and 2x39W. All Coralvue bulbs. Half Antinic half 50/50. The 50/50 come off as more of a Marine white like the URI bulbs than what I would consider a "classic" 50/50. This is just after the setup or really in the middle of it but you get the idea as far as color and briteness

The tank was a mess in that pic so I thought I would post a few better one. Just so you all know I did not alter the briteness in anyway. Heres the tank 2 months later. Note the coralline development on the back wall about 30% covered in 2 months! Unfortunally I spilled water on one of the ballast and fired it so I am down to 4 T-5s and a PC strip until I get a new ballast.

And as far as do T-5HOs put out enough light for high light spieces. BRIGHT green Hydrophona, a Acro frag, and Crocea clam. All high light, all happy and growing. You can just make out the purple tips on the Acro.

I went frrom a 6 x 80 watt T5 system to a hood with 3 150 watt halides and 168 watts of PC actinics (much better looking than T5 actinic IMO) and the T5 produced nearly 40 percent more PAR than the halides. Be careful when upgrading from VHO or PC lamps to T5's. There are people experiencing problems light shocking lower light critters. The T5 (when ran with good reflectors) are providing more light than expected. And wait till you see VHO T6's :)
