T5 to MH 31-gallon tank

    I just got payed and im thinking.

    my tank is 31'' long but a 30'' 4x24T5 fits on it well anyways i want to get MH now but i know nothing about it.

    Specs of my tank are under what Im typing.

    what would be a MH setup for my tank ?

    btw with the 175 you would growing softies near the ends of the tanks.

    if you want fully sps I would do 2 70 watts.

    Several 30" 250 watt metal halide with two or four 24watt T5 bulb fixtures on eBay for $209.00. That's very cheap for what you get. I don't know why they're no 150 wattfixtures on there.

    IMO, those or more or less junk. I would go 2 150w pendants or a fixture. Pendants might be better because MH fixtures, to my knowledge, don't come in 30" lengths, only 24", 36", 48" etc.

    Yeh they're not the greatest as far as quality but for those people that can't afford to pay $400 or more for a light fixture they would work. I had one of the pc units a while back and for the price you couldn't beat it.
