    Hi all

A friend of mine had his halides and a T5 suspended above his tank on brackets. One of the brackets has come lose and the light have fallen and hit the brace bars. Fortunately the halides did not hit the water however the T5 shattered on impact causing the glass and whatever else to get into the tank. He has managed to remove the glass but my worry is whtever may have been in the tubes themselves. He has a beautiful 5' tank full of fish and corals, does anyone have any specific knowledge of what these tubes contain and the effect it might have on his reef?

    Thanks all in advance.

Mercury, and phosphors. Those phosphors definitely won't be good, either.

No bud. Fortunately he was there when it happened. He is in the process of doing a water change. At the moment the fish seem ok, however some of the corals seem to be sulking, well we hope they are sulking.
