T5 vs CFL = how much diff in electricity?

    Yes, pretty typical, at least assuming individual reflectors. That's the key to T-5s really, they are smaller, so, you can fit more bulbs and the glass is thinner, so, blocks less light. Also, you can space them a bit more, so, you can use individual reflectors. A good reflector alone can increase the light output by a few fold. Also, the reflector will get the light going downward, not outward, so, the PAR increase, will be more significant with depth. As to kelvin rating, this is really a manufacturing term, so that's a tough comparison, but assuming that they have the same spectral characteristics, then yes, definitely.
