T5 vs PC pics Will

i only have a 2 bulb system how many bulbs you got?

 

also i have very little visable sand which i think is making my tank look alot darker than it should

 

2 pc bulbs on that above picture of tank. 2x65w UVL 454nm

total I have
pc: 2x65w uvl 454, 2x65w uvl 75.25 14k
t5s: 1x54w ati blue plus 1x54w uvl 12k

btw: my fixture came with odyssea bulbs, they blow goats.. the actinic turns green.. if you care about that tank, goto reefgeek and order uvl pc bulbs. 454 arent listed, but you can call them.

Lol you have double the light i do thats why its brighter!!!! I'm gonna upgrade to a T5 system someday. I had a single PC bulb on it for 3 years, then a crumby coralife on it for another 2.5-3 until it too fell in. Turns out i throw alot of lights in that tank

 

Yeah Will night rida is a pro. He has alot of good insight and I value his opinions

 

uvl pc bulbs are the best. bulbs have internal reflectors which help alot with getting most light down into the tank. uvl 454nm bulb is same color as a aTI blue plus t5 bulb.

 

yeah i just posted a thread about the light, oh and i was just on craigslist a guy has a fixture for 75 bux T5HO 4 bulbs

 

what do you have on that small tank, 2 bulbs 65w each? seperate cords/timers? (dawn/dusk)
