Im running a 48in corallife t5ho 4 bulb system. Two blues a white and purple plus. 8 led moonlights and 2 panoramas (blue 3w) The panoramas stay on all day and some at night. My first question is t5 placement for coral growth. At the moment I have a 55g tank with my t5 mounted on top using the legs so its about 5 inch above the water. I have some frags already in the tank and corals (recordias, leather, brain coral, zoas, hammers, star polyps, mushrooms, candy canes, kenya, zenia Dont plan on doing anything to crazy but will this light be enough for these type of corals and should it be closer or farther from top of tank? Also i have my panoramas mounted at an angle in front of my t5 fixture are they ok where they are? or is the t5 washing them out since its so close? Also since im running these blue panoramas would i benifit more taking out one of my blue bulbs and going to a white? for more growth?? any input helps thanks guys

Placement of the lights are fine. The panoramas are not very strong so any light will wash them out. Since you have them in front of the light you are getting the most color effect out of them. You have plenty of light for good growth with the bulbs you have if the blues are not actinics. Just make sure you use pure blues.
