I came across these lights a few different times over the last month or two, and I keep getting drawn to the part where they mention their "Offset bulb holders".
Everyone else is looking at individual reflectors, these folks seem to believe that moving the reflector away from the bulbs will increase efficiency. "The light doesn't get trapped" is the way they put it.
T5 HIGH OUTPUT AQUARIUM REEF FLUORESCENT LIGHT/ 4' HOOD - eBay (item 370048667946 end time Aug-01-08 16:06:57 PDT)

The fixture itself looks kind of rough, like it is intended to be used as a ceiling (built in) fixture that these folks have modified. There is also a "monster" version, 8 T5's.

Those of you who have been playing on this block awhile, -what do you think? Do their claims seem plausible? Could this be a decent fixture? Having the reflectors further away would allow more air circulation, a cooler running fixture.

Doesn't have individual reflectors, so I would say "no thanks".

I think vendors who write such descriptions of their products are highly sought after by the comic book industry.

You get what you pay for.

Ain't that the truth. With anything you buy.

.....and, yup, the longer the description, the more suspicious I become. Especially if it is accompanied by changing fonts and colors.
